Kelly Jones is a writer, editor, and librarian originally from Raleigh, North Carolina.

They hold a Master of Fine Arts from the Creative Writing Workshop at the University of New Orleans, where they served on the staff of Bayou Magazine and worked as a research assistant and as an instructor of record.

Their work has twice been nominated for a Pushcart, and they have been published in print and online journals including BOAAT, Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, Ghost City Review, The James Franco Review, Oracle Fine Arts Review, Peauxdunque Review, The Rain Party & Disaster Society, Sundog Lit, Voicemail Poems, and others.

Prior to working in libraries, they spent a decade in the service industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector.

These days, Kelly spends their free time trying to keep houseplants alive, acquiescing to most of their cat's demands, and swimming as much as possible. Some of Kelly's favorite things are manatees, glitter, and drinks (preferably with crushed ice in them). They prefer their hashbrowns to be scattered well, smothered, covered, and peppered.
